May 27 2025,Ourense. - Ourense Vinis Terrae will be held the 2nd and 3rd of June, establishing itself as the only trade fair exclusively dedicated to local wines. The biennial Galician Quality Wine and Spirits Fair will celebrate its eleventh edition, bringing together importers and purchasers from 18 countries who will have the opportunity to discover the latest vintages from exhibiting wineries, all of them from the five Designations of Origin (D.O.s.), four of which are from the province of Ourense (Ribeiro, Monterrei, Ribeira Sacra, Valdeorras). These will be joined by the D.O. Rías Baixas and the IXPs of Galician Wines such as Val do Miño and Betanzos. This edition will feature 47 exhibiting wineries.

The participation figures for this latest edition of Ourense Vinis Terrae were presented this morning at a press conference, attended by Manuel Pardo Cid, the regional delegate of the Galician Regional Government and president of the Expourense executive committee; Jorge Pumar Tesouro, the provincial representative of Ourense; and Rogelio Martínez, the CEO of Expourense.

During this event, it was highlighted that Ourense Vinis Terrae has become an internationalization tool for small and medium-sized Galician businesses, facilitating exports to markets that would be more difficult to access through traditional channels. Direct contact between producers (mostly microenterprises) and importers generates new opportunities in the foreign market. This latest edition of the fair will open up new market channels for winegrowers beyond the HORECA channel and will contribute to the internationalization of a leading sector deeply rooted in Ourense and Galicia by positioning its varietal heritage. Participating in this edition are wineries from small producers, or "colleiteiros," to large winery groups.
This fair brings the 47 exhibitors into direct contact with importers from 18 countries (Belgium, Costa Rica, Denmark, Spain, the United States, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, the Philippines, Poland, the United Kingdom, the Czech Republic, Sweden, Switzerland, and the United States).

The program of activities includes the 4th Ourense Vinis Terrae Extraordinary Tasting, in which wines from the wineries exhibiting at the show will be selected. This tasting will feature a professional jury consisting of representatives from winemaking associations, sommeliers, and wine tasters from different parts of Spain. The awards ceremony for this tasting will take place on Tuesday, June 3rd, at 5:30 p.m. in Expourense.

This year's Ourense Vinis Terrae will once again feature a Wine and Spirits Tunnel, a showcase offering visitors and exhibitors a space to explore 104 wines from all the Galician designations of origin present at the fair. The goal is to allow professionals to learn about the different wines on display, and thus give buyers the opportunity to discover a greater number of wines, in addition to those already available through their event calendar.

Ourense VINIS TERRAE will open its doors June 2nd and 3rd, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Professional accreditation, free of charge, can be obtained through the website (www.vinisterrae.es) or directly at the fairgrounds.

Organized by Expourense, Ourense Vinis Terrae 2025 has the fundamental support of the Xunta de Galicia through the Axencia de Calidade Agroalimentaria (AGACAL) attached to the Department of Rural Environment of the Xunta de Galicia and the Provincial Council of Ourense
