Ourense, June 3, 2025.- Ourense Vinis Terrae has just closed the doors of its eleventh edition after once again meeting the expectations of the 47 exhibitors, who expressed their satisfaction with the quantity and quality of the business meetings held with the 47 buyers and importers from 18 countries participating in this edition. There were more than 800 business meetings in total, in addition to those that arose from some of the more than 1,000 visits from professionals who came to Expourense. In addition to the importers' mission, professionals from the restaurant, hospitality, and distribution sectors from the national market participated in the fair.

The only 100% professional, 100% high-quality, and 100% Galician wine fair concludes another edition further positioned as a tool for wineries to enter the international market, with a fair format that continues to yield very positive results. The preliminary work in selecting importers from markets of interest to Galician wine, and the online business appointment system that filters the interests of each buyer with the production of each winery, means that each meeting unites the interests of both parties, thus guaranteeing the best results.

These are face-to-face meetings around a table with the winemaker who produces quality wines on one side and, on the other, the potential national or international buyer who shows a preference for native varieties, who values the winemaking methods of family-run wineries, and who knows what they are looking for and what they need for the market in which they operate.

IV Extraordinary Ourense Vinis Terrae Tasting

As usual, one of the most anticipated moments for exhibitors at this event was the awards ceremony for the Extraordinary Ourense Vinis Terrae Tasting, now in its fourth edition. It was led by Galician sommelier Mercedes González and featured a tasting panel composed of experts from various Galician regulatory councils and tasters and winemakers from different parts of Spain.

The closing ceremony and awards ceremony included the participation of María Xosé Gómez Rodríguez, Regional Ministry of Rural Environment of the Galician Regional Government, who stated that wine is "one of the best ambassadors of Galicia's excellence" and emphasized the commitment of wine producers to the development of the Galician rural environment.
