Biennial, Ourense Vinis Terrae returns to the Expourense calendar loaded with novelties. The 10th edition of the Galician Quality Wine and Spirits Show will be held at the fairgrounds on June 5 and 6, consolidated as the only exclusively professional show dedicated to quality autochthonous wines. The teams will be made up of a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 4 professional members from the world of wine: sommeliers, oenologists, winemakers, distributors, waiters,… who will put their senses and knowledge of Galician wines to the test.

This blind tasting by teams will take place on the morning of Monday, June 5. The registration period for this contest, which will distribute 1,5000 euros in prizes, is now open and those interested can register through the website www.vinisterrae.es (where the complete bases can also be consulted). The registration period will end on June 1 at 12:00.

Registration has a registration fee of 55 euros per team, which will include lunch on June 5. It will consist of 2 phases: Qualifying and Final. Each of them includes the tasting of 6 wines (from exhibiting wineries in the hall) in each of the phases, which can be white, rosé, red and special wines (understanding special for the purpose of this contest sparkling wines, and other elaborations allowed by the Galician D.O and IXP). The duration of the Qualifying Phase will be 90 minutes and the Final 60 minutes.

The tasting sheet will request for each of the wines (the assessment of each correct answer is specified):

1.- D.O or IXP (2 points)

2.- Subzone if applicable (2 points)

3.- Variety/s (3 points)

4.- Harvest (3 points)
