A hundred people, including professionals from the sector, specialized media and casino partners participated in this activity organized by Expourense and directed by sommelier Mercedes González
Ourense, 04/30/2019.- The Casino de Madrid yesterday hosted two commented tastings of the award-winning wines at the I Extraordinary Tasting of Ourense Vinis Terrae, el Salón del Vino y Licores Gallegos de Calidad, held in Expourense on the 1st and 2nd April with the support of the Provincial Council of Ourense and the Galician Agency for Food Quality – AGACAL of the Department of Rural Affairs of the Xunta de Galicia.
This event, organized by Expourense, included two tastings in which more than a hundred members of the Casino and a group of guests participated, including specialized press such as the Intervinos Guide or catadelvino.com, as well as highly selected wine distributors. as the director of “5 Rosas Gourmet”, José Manuel Rojo. Among others, this tasting was attended by the Academician of the Royal Spanish Academy of Gastronomy, Ana Rosa Alonso Regidor de Letamendía; the director of food and beverage purchases at Paradores de España, José Valdearcos Cabrera; the president of AEGAMA (Association of Galician Entrepreneurs in Madrid), Julio Lage; the general director of OEMV (Spanish Observatory of the Wine Market), Rafael del Rey; the president of Spain of the Chaîne des Rôtisseurus, Rosa Román Fernández; the director of Whitelake, Mabel Rodrigálvarez; the director of PEQUEÑAS Dos, José Luis Hernández or the director of the Aula Internacional de Catadores AULINCAT, Manuel de los Ríos.
The tasting was directed by the renowned Galician sommelier Mercedes González and had the collaboration of Eliseo González, coordinator of the wine tastings organized at the Casino de Madrid. The winning wines and liquor were paired with other quality gourmet products from Galicia such as Porco Celta sausages, cheeses or canned Mexillón de Galicia, among others. This activity, which also included networking between the awarded Galician winemakers and businessmen, has contributed to reinforcing the promotion of the quality of Galician wines before a specialized public and a target end consumer.
